Taking a name literally with a cheeky branding campaign

Overview

Palina Rojinski aka Palinski is a well-known German presenter, actress and now podcaster. She puts her own stamp on everything she touches. Even her podcast isn't just a podcast - it's a Podkinski.

Our brief was to come up with a branding and campaign idea that would do justice to Palina's unique personality. So it only made sense to use her catchy name as the centrepiece of our communication.

To create a mystery around 'INSKI', we started with a guerrilla campaign, spreading 100,000 stickers in Germany's biggest cities and on Palina's social media. The main phase of the campaign finally revealed the secret behind 'INSKI' and promoted the release of the podcast across multiple channels including DOOH, TVC cut-ins and social media.

Within weeks of its launch, Podkinski became one of the top 10 most listened to podcasts in Germany.
